About UsSunday Worship Service Our 11:00 a.m. Sunday Worship Service is usually composed of a relaxed, and blended liturgy, with Scripture, prayer, congregational singing and special music. At the beginning of the service, we generally take a few minutes to hear concerns and joys from the Pastor and the congregation. Casual attire is fine at any services. Sunday School classes are available for all ages, nursery through adult, from 9:30 to 10:30. Communion is served during the 11:00 a.m. Worship Service on the first Sunday of each month and on special occasions. In the United Methodist Church, we offer open communion. As our liturgy says, "Christ our Lord invites to his table all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sin, and seek to live in peace with one another." (From the Book of Worship).
Lisbon United Methodist Church is situated in Western Howard County, about 12 miles West of Ellicott City, Maryland.
We are located on Frederick Road (Route 144) nearly 1/4 mile East of Route 94, directly adjacent to Lisbon Elementary School.
