Who are the Lisbon United Methodist Men?

We're a group of men from Lisbon United Methodist Church who enjoy gathering together in fellowship to help serve our Church and our community. We perform many different service related activities; so, there are many opportunities to help out and to have fun.

Do you meet regularly?

We meet the second Saturday of each month at 8:00 a.m. at the Church to have breakfast together and solve the world's problems.

How can I become a member?

Ask one of our Methodist Men or President Dave Pratt to get more information about the next meeting. There is no formal membership process. We take our work pretty seriously, but not ourselves.

What types of activities have you participated in over the last several years?

We have:

Sponsored yard sales
Prepared dinner and dessert for Annual Conference
Provided meals for families at Thanksgiving and Christmas
Provided school supplies at beginning of the school year
Made regular contributions to the Society of St. Andrew's Potato Project
Contributed to Congregations Concerned for the Homeless
Provided escort service for residents of the Asbury Methodist Village
Contributed to the Church sound system
Attended the Quadrennial Methodist Men conclave at Purdue University
Held annual dinners for the wives of LUMC Methodist Men
Published a monthly newsletter for the congregation
Provided personal and financial support for the Church Youth
Sponsored Church Talent Auction
Cleaned up Old Frederick Road four times each year
